POINTS OF INTEREST
There are a variety of places to visit both in and near the city of Lorain. Why not take a visit to the local Lorain Sports Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame was founded in December, 1969, to honor those Lorain residents whose names are synonymous with all that is the best in athletic achievement from the outstanding sports heritage in Lorain. During the summer, you can join in the annual celebration of culture at the Lorain International Festival. This week long festival is host to a variety of different entertainment and fun for people of all ages. History buffs will enjoy learning more about the rich history of the city of Lorain at the Black River Historical Society.

RECREATION
Take a visit to the historic Lorain Palace Civic Center and Theater. With a 52' wide screen, the theater is a great venue for watching the latest movies. Or come for any number of the concerts held at the theater throughout the year. With Lake Erie so close you won't be able to resist taking in the sun and the water at any of the areas many marinas. The Lorain Sailing and Yacht Club and Beaver Park Marina will provide summers full of outdoor fun on the water.

Next door to the community is the FoxCreek Golf and Racquet Club. Fox Creek is an 18 hole course that features 6,407 yards of golf with indoor and outdoor tennis facilities.

Cedar Point can be found in nearby Sandusky. This 364-acre amusement park/resort is home to the most rides (75) and roller coasters (17) on Earth. Featuring some of the tallest and fastest scream machines around, this thrill-seekers paradise also boasts a gigantic waterpark (Soak City).

SHOPPING
Located just a few minutes away from Martin's Run are two of Lorain's newest shopping centers, Lighthouse Village and Deerfield Shopping Center. Lighthouse Village is home to a variety of retail stores such as Kohl's and Home Depot. While Deerfield Shopping Center provides shopping at Target and Lowe's. If you prefer the mall, a quick trip to Midway Mall will be just what you are looking for.
